Officer Donato F. Palma & K9 Enzo
East Haven Police Department
On October 20, 2022 ,
Officer Donato Palma and K9 Enzo responded to a motor vehicle stop on
Foxon Road. Based on the operator's suspicious behavior, K9 Enzo was
deployed and conducted an exterior sweep of the vehicle for the presence
of drug/narcotic odor. K9 Enzo gave a positive indication on the trunk
of the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed large
quantities of cash and narcotics within the trunk. Located within the
vehicle were the following items: (Approximate Weights) 407.6 Grams of
suspected Heroin, 938.8 Grams of suspected Cocaine, 477.2 Grams of
suspected Methamphetamine pills, 941 grams of suspected "crystal"
Methamphetamine, 192.6 Grams of suspected Fetanyl, 2.4 Kilograms of
suspected Cocaine/Fetanyl and $8,951 in cash.

Officer Lou Brangi & K9 Tate
Wallingford Police Department
On 2/26/21 Sgt Brangi & K9 Tate responded to assist on scene Officers
with a traffic stop by deploying K9 Tate and utilize him for a free air
search of the exterior of the Vehicle, upon Tates positive indication
and probable cause established a search of the interior resulted in
locating a lint roller that was being used to conceal Narcotics , upon
inspection 37 bags of Crack Cocaine and 20 bags of Heroin were seized
and prevented from hitting the community.

Corporal Jason R. Frey & K9 Sonny
Clinton Police Department
This Team was requested to assist on a Motor Vehicle stop
who K9 Sonny indicated to the presence of Narcotic odor on the stopped
vehicle and upon searching the Vehicle 60 bags of Fentanyl ,420 glassine
envelopes of suspected heroin / fentanyl packaged for street level
distribution. This seizure prevented the distribution of this deadly
Narcotic throughout the communities.

Officer Joseph H. Staffieri & K9 Magnum
New Haven Police Department
Upon assisting with the execution of a Search and Seizure Warrant, K9
Magnum located and indicated to an area of a bathroom floor that
revealed a hidden floor trap that would not have been located without
the assistance of K9 Magnum.

Wallingford Police Department
Assisting on a M/V
stop, Officer Brangi and K9 Tate responded and subsequently gave a
positive indication to the presence of Narcotics on the passenger floor
board area, more specifically a “Gunk Motor Medic Flush” can that was in
that area. Upon initial inspection the can appeared to be normal but
upon closer inspection the can was discovered to have a screw off false
bottom. Inside the can were 120 wax folds of Heroin and 4.2 Grams of
Crack Cocaine, Due to K9 Tate’s ability, the suspects Narcotics
operation was disrupted.
Year 2016
Officer Paul M. Hussey & K9 Titan
Willimantic Police Department
On 07/06/16
Officer Hussey and K9 Titan assisted the Detective Division with the
execution of a Search and Seizure warrant in Windham CT. Detectives had
information that Narcotics may be buried somewhere on the property. Upon
being directed to search K9 Titan in the yard area, K9 Titan gave an
indication on a fence post, Detectives disassembled the post but did not
locate any narcotics but upon digging in the ground beneath the post, Detectives located a plastic bag containing Cocaine. K9 Titan gave
several indications throughout the property on ground level and as a
result of Detectives digging up the indication areas a total of 495.9
Grams of marijuana, 190.5 Grams of Crack cocaine, 486.4 Grams of
Cocaine, 85.6 Grams of Heroin, 80 Grams of Fentanyl . Detectives brought
in an excavator and with the assistance of the extra equipment a buried
firearm was also located.

Officer James M. Comstock & K9 Pogo
Stamford Police Department
On 11/28/15 Officer James Comstock and K9 Pogo, a certified Explosive /
firearm detection K9 were assigned to assist with the execution of a
search warrant of a vehicle. The Vehicle had been utilized by a suspect
in a homicide where a firearm was used but as of that date the firearm
had never been recovered. Officer Comstock commanded K9 Pogo to search
and upon doing so, K9 Pogo gave an indication to the dash placing his
nose on the radio area, On scene Officers were unable to locate anything
and mechanics were called in to remove the dash and upon doing so a
loaded Glock Model 20 10mm was located inside a hidden compartment that
was designed to avoid detection. The same make and caliber as the weapon
used in the homicide.
