Upcoming Training & Workshops
In-Service Training Dates and
Times: The above listed dates have been set aside as in-service training for the Ledyard Police Canine Teams. As always, all local K-9 Units are welcome to attend. If you plan on attending, please call in advance so that we will have enough trainer's and equipment. We will meet at the Ledyard P.D. at the times listed and head out to our training areas after everyone arrives.

April 30 and May 1st Training:
Focus on detecting, locating and opening hidden compartments in motor
vehicles. Seminar Date:
May 4th thru 6th Training:
Managing the Lost Person Incident - This course has proven to be useful to those that have taken it. The information is particularly valuable
to the officer first responding to an incident - knowing the options can often lead to a quick resolution. Fall Conference Date:
September 23 thru
28th Training: Programs will include narcotics, tactical patrol and K-9 manager programs. Hopefully this pre-announcement will allow those in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and surrounding states to start budgeting and planning accordingly. This will be the first time the programs have been offered in this area. |
